The Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) has moved the Palm Paradise housing lottery to an online platform after more than 9,300 people applied for just 120 flats. The shift aims to boost transparency, speed up verification, and keep applicants informed via mobile alerts. Over 6,000 requests came for the 50 EWS units, while 300 applied for the 70 LIG flats. GDA is now screening applications, canceling incomplete ones, but will let selected candidates submit missing income certificates. The digital lottery will decide the final allotment of the affordable homes near Deoria Bypass.
