Deepika Padukone Video Calls 12 Lawyer Team With Ranveer Singh Ahead Of NCB Questioning: Reports
Deepika Padukone’s name has picked up by the Narcotics Control Bureau’s drug probe team and the interest in it increased manifold. The NCB has already summoned the actress in connection to the case and she is expected to appear before the agency on Friday 25 September. Her manager Karishma has also been summoned by the agency after their alleged drug chats were recovered by the agency during the investigation.
And now, according to a Republic TV report, Deepika Padukone is putting the blame for ‘revealing drug secrets’ on her manager Karishma Prakash and Jaya Saha. It has further been reported that after she received the summon, she was on a video call with her team of 12 lawyers to discuss what steps need to be taken going ahead. The report also states that the video call was attended by her husband Ranveer Singh.
Deepika is currently shooting in Goa for her next film and she is expected to fly down to Mumbai in a chartered plane on Thursday afternoon.
Apart from Deepika, Rakul Preet Singh’s hearing has also been put off till 25 September after she missed her summon for questioning on September 24. IT has been reported that the Mumbai Police is also working on amping up security as Deepika prepares to arrive for questioning.
