Here’s how much money Suresh Raina lost by not playing in IPL 2020
Chennai Super Kings’ most capped player Suresh Raina has returned home from UAE due to personal reasons and he will be missing the whole of IPL 2020. The former India cricketer has lost two of his relatives in an attack on their house in Thariyal village near Madhopur of Pathankot, which is the reason why he pulled out of IPL 2020.
However, missing the tournament will come at a huge cost for the middle-order batsman. One of the highest earners in the IPL, Suresh Raina will not receive his salary of Rs 11 crore this year, which is the amount at which he was retained by CSK in 2018. Besides the amount in the contract, Raina will also miss out on the money from the many awards that are given during and after the tournament – Man of the Match and Man of the Series awards among others.
