Tinaa Dattaa on actors committing suicide due to depression: People are extremely fake and diplomatic & it’s very hard to get true friends
TV actress Tinaa Dattaa slipped into depression at one point of her life but she fought it like a warrior. Mental health problems or depression is common in the industry. In recent times, we have seen many such celebs especially in the TV industry who had committed suicide due to depression.
When we asked Tinaa about the current situation, she said, “The problem is in today’s generation, people are extremely judgemental. I also feel that people are extremely fake and diplomatic. I think it’s very hard to get true friends especially if you are from the industry. There are very few people in the industry who wish the best for you. Then you slip into depression and then if you don’t have the right set of friends who can pull you out of it, of course, you will be depressed and you will get suicidal tendencies.”
Tinaa also said that committing suicide is not a solution. She said, “You should be blessed that you are born as a human being. It is a boon and shouldn’t be taken for granted. If anyone is depressed, he/she should reach out to family members. If someone is not understanding from your family members, as ‘depression’ is a taboo in small towns where people don’t understand. But at least speak to your friend, go to a psychiatrist or counselling sessions. But suicide should not be an option. Depression is like any other illness.”
She further said, “I keep telling my actor friends that it’s ok if today you don’t have work, and you are depressed. Acting is not the only solution in life. Find out some other things. We always think about what people will say if we leave acting. We think that people will laugh and mock at us. Those people who will judge you are not going to feed you or run your kitchen, so why to even think or bother about them.”
