There are many actors from whom we expected a lot but they disappeared from the industry after having a short fling with Bollywood. Let’s have a look:

Sahila

The Bollywood iconic movie ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ does not require any introduction. Right? Apart from the main protagonists in the film, there were various supporting actors in the film including Sahila who played the character of Rita. She was seen as a young, cute girl who constantly tries to woo Salman Khan in her unique ways. Sahila is now happily settled with her husband Nimai Bali and is a proud mother to a beautiful daughter. She has a few TV shows in her kitty, where she’s often portraying negative roles.

Sneha Ullal

She made headlines as the young new Aishwarya look-alike. Sneha made her debut in the industry with film ‘Lucky – No Time For Love’ released in 2005, opposite Salman Khan. But soon after her debut, she vanished from the Bollywood industry and started appearing in Telugu films. She never returned to Bollywood but went on for a few projects here and there.

Pooja Ruparel

“Rajeshwari…Miss Rajeshwari naam hai mera aur jo log mujhe pasand aate hain..woh pyaar se muje ‘Chutki’ bulate hain”. Sounds familiar right? Well, yes, it’s the bubbly girl who played Kajol’s younger sister in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. Her name is Pooja Ruparel. Pooja made her Bollywood debut as a sweet little girl with Jackie Shroff-starrer ‘King Uncle’, and has now all grown up into a gorgeous lady!!! Pooja is now a stand-up comedienne and sometimes hosts karaoke nights at popular clubs like Hard Rock Cafe and Sante in Mumbai. After almost 2 decades, she finally came out of her hood and back to work. She was seen in 11 episodes of the popular series ‘24′ along with Anil Kapoor and was also seen on Comedy Nights With Kapil.

Celina Jaitly

This elegant actress is married to a rich Austrian, ‘Peter Haag’. She is well- known for her movies like Janasheen (2013), Silsiilay (2005), No Entry (2005), and Golmaal Returns (2008). Her husband is the Group Director of Marketing for “Emaar Hospitality Group” and also owns numerous hotel chains in Dubai and Singapore. She is the mother of three who is also an active supporter of the LGBT community. In 2014, she earned fame through her singing debut in a video on gay rights titled ‘The Welcome‘.

Tanushree Dutta

Dutta is the recipient of the Femina Miss India Universe title in 2004 at age 20. In 2005, she made an appearance in the film, ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’. She lastly appeared in the film, ‘Ramaa: The Saviour’ in 2010, and then she took a break from the industry and expressed her desire to re-enter Bollywood in 2013. Then finally a year ago, she made headlines for her interview with Zoom TV in which she accused Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of the 2009 film Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss.

Kim Sharma

The first and last movie of this cute actress was ‘Mohabbatein’. The actress then went on to marry Ali Punjani, a businessman based in Kenya but whispers say their marriage is broken. Thanks to her stressed marriage, her job was the CEO of Punjani’s chain of hotels in Kenya. As of now, she is 39-year-old and is looking to establish her business in Mumbai to financially support herself. She is now a brand strategist and goes by the name Kimi Michelle Sharma (her real name).

Gayatri Joshi

Gayatri Joshi is a model turned former Bollywood actress. She made everyone fall for her with her mesmerizing beauty and acting skills in her first and only film ‘Swades’. But soon the actress got married to Vikas Oberoi, Promoter of Oberoi Construction and gave up her career to focus on her personal life.

Udita Goswami

Alike Gayatri, she is also a model turned actress who made her debut in 2003 with the film ‘Paap’ followed by films like ‘Zeher’ and ‘Aksar’. But she failed to establish her career in Bollywood and got married to director Mohit Suri in 2013.

Ayesha Takia

She became popular with the movie Taarzan: The Wonder Car (2004), Socha Naa Tha (2004), Shaadi No 1 (2005), Dor (2006) and Wanted(2009). At the age of 23, Takia settled for marriage with Farhan Azmi, a mega hotelier, and son of politician Abu Azmi. She’s blessed with an influential surname and her husband is powerful in terms of money, power, and prestige. Ayesha now lives a super luxurious life and is blessed with a son. She is also very active on social media and an enthusiastic supporter of wildlife protection for years.

Minissha Lamba

After her debut film, ‘Yahaan’ Minissha vanished from the industry after a few more films. Lately, she was seen in Bigg Boss 8 post which she got married to her boyfriend Ryan Tham in a hush-hush ceremony.

Antara Mali

Mali made quite a few waves with her performances in films like ‘Company’ and ‘Road’ in 2002, etc. Her films weren’t considered successful and marked her exit from Bollywood. She got married in 2009 and lives with her family in Mumbai and does not like to open up about her personal life.

Preeti Janghiani

Another young ‘Mohabbatein’ beauty, Preeti was first seen in the Rajshri Productions music album ‘Yeh Hai Prem’. Married to fellow actor Parvin Dabas in 2008, she now lives with her family in Bandra.
