1. First preference for Tina’s role
Tina’s role was designed keeping in mind Twinkle Khanna and the character’s name Tina is actually Twinkle’s pet name. When Twinkle turned down the role, it went to Tabu, Urmila Matondkar, Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Aishwarya Rai and Karishma Kapoor before finally settling down on Rani Mukherjee.
2. First choice for Anjali’s role
Kajol played Anjali in the movie which was first offered to Juhi Chawla.
3. Where did this idea come from?
You will be amazed to know that the movie is inspired from Archie Comics. SRK was Archie, Kajol was Betty, and Rani was Veronica. Guess which character of Archie comics was Anupam Kher playing? Mr. Weatherbee!
4. Aman’s character was not designed for Salman Khan
Saif Ali Khan was the first preference for Aman’s character.
5. Rani was Aditya Chopra’s recommendation
When Tina’s role was being turned down by all the actresses because of a mini role, Aditya Chopra recommended Rani who he had seen in ‘Raja ki aayegi Baraat’.
6. Sameer was not the first choice for the movie’s lyricist
