Legendary Pakistan pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar has shared the name of the Bollywood actor, whom he would like to play role in his biopic.
The Rawalpindi Express, who has threatened batsmen of his generation through thunderbolt pace, has picked up as many as 444 international wickets in his glittering career for Pakistan.
Akhtar holds the record for bowling the fastest delivery ever when he bowled a 161 kmph scorcher to Nick Knight in the 2003 ODI World Cup.
Akhtar shot to fame with his raw pace which troubled even the greatest of batsmen.
Moreover, Shoaib had to work very hard to train himself to keep himself in shape and avoid significant injuries.
During a recent interaction on the Helo app, Akhtar named Bollywood sensation Salman Khan as the ideal actor to play the role of him in his biopic.
Both Salman and Akhtar have uncanny similarities when it comes to physique, and facial traits are concerned. The two have also had careers marred with controversies. Salman has released blockbusters each year since 2008.
His notable works include in movies such as Wanted, Ready, Dabangg series, Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan. Only time will tell whether Salman accepts Akhtar’s proposal for featuring in his biopic.
After retiring from international cricket, Akhtar has been seen taking part in pre-match and post-match game analysis, along with the odd stint at the commentary box.
However, Akhtar garnered a substantial amount of fan-following through his YouTube channel where he frequently shares his opinion on recent cricketing events.
