TikToker Faizal Siddiqui has been accused of ‘glorifying’ acid attack on women by the National Commission for Women. The social media user had shared a video on the sensitive subject earlier.
Popular TikTok star Faizal Siddiqui’s video on acid attack has invited the wrath of National Commission for Women. Though the video can’t be seen on his page now, many people shared the video on Twitter and demanded action against the user. In the video, Faizal is allegedly promoting an acid attack on women and is seen portraying the attack as a response to a breakup.
This video then immediately went viral and BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga shared the video and tagged Rekha Sharma, the Chairperson of National Commission for Women. He wrote, “@sharmarekha ji please watch the video”
She immediately jumped to action and tweeted, “I am taking it up today itself with both police and @TikTok_IN”
Meanwhile, Advocate and activist Ashutosh J Dubey also filed a complaint against the user and shared, “To @MumbaiPolice @MahaCyber1 @CPMumbaiPolice @AnilDeshmukhNCP I lodged a complaint against #FaizalSiddiqui having 2.6M+ followers on
@TikTok_IN-Posted Objectionable Videos on Tiktok, The videos give a message, if any girl denied accepting the proposal throw acid on her face.”
Since then many social media users have tweet against the video. One user wrote, “Mathlb ldki manti nahi to acid fek do Right #FaizalSiddiqui ???He is brother of #AmirSiddiqui”
Another one tweeted, “#FaizalSiddiqui what the heck. Did i just see this guy post a tok tok video showcasing him throwing acid at a woman for dumping him. Is that what that is?
